Author Bio

James D. A. Terry, born in Belleville, Ontario, Canada in 1949, has always felt more comfortable communicating through his writing. He was born with an innate comprehension of words, their meanings and uses. Then as a youth he began writing poetry but it didn’t give him a sense of personal fulfillment. Later he set out to write a science fiction, mystery, adventure novel but never finished.

Before turning his hand to his passion, the British mystery novel, he wanted to pass on what he had learned from his years of constantly searching for the perfect financial instruments. The simplicity of his insight is captured in, Freeman or Serf, a guidebook so small as to seem insignificant but the contents will be life changing.

He began writing full time after he retired for his own enjoyment and found that writing mysteries has become quite addictive. His tales of mystery, suspense and adventure spun with dry, acerbic wit. The reader will see the characters and setting, visualizing every detail as if the words on the page have become a picture in our minds.

He pens his most recent mystery series The Paladin Project under the pseudonym, Solomon Knight.

He also enjoys reading well crafted mysteries by authors such as Dame Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Martha Grimes. He recently discovered the Lady Hardcastle mysteries by T E Kinsey.
